Malienas Kauss I (2012-08-18)

One of if not the best performance this season. Physically I was OK, after heavy training week one training free day just before the race was perfect - I had no difficulties keeping the pace. Technically only small mistake to third where I just didn't interpret vegetation correctly and bad route choice to fourth, where going left was much better in aspect of runability. Total of 45 seconds in mistakes is marvelous. Race even more interesting was because of World Champion starting 4 minutes behind me. He caught me relatively late and passed only to the last control where I left the control in a slightly worse direction than His Excellence. I finished fourth and that was one place higher than I normally would expect myself to be. Good!
